business based in Swindon to recruit a talented HR Manager for an initial
12 month FTC to cover for maternity – starting ASAP.
The role is full time and site based for at least 4 days per week.
Reporting to the Regional HR Director and being part of the site leadership
team, the purpose of the role is to partner with leaders / managers and
employees across the business regarding end to end employee relations,
policies and procedures as well as new ways of working.
We are looking for a hands on HR Manager who is used to providing
generalist site support across production / manufacturing, engineering,
quality as well as commercial / support functions. As part of the site
leadership team, you will provide support to the site growth goals.
The focus of the role is building site capability, supporting annual HR
activities (e.g. performance calibration, annual compensation process and
succession planning), end to end ER and coaching line managers, absence
management as well as involvement and advising on change management
initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a generalist HR site support for a range of employment and
employee relations matters including conduct and capability, grievance and
disciplinary matters, redundancy and restructuring, absence and health
issues, and family friendly policies
- Provide timely support during investigation and disciplinary processes
and recommend appropriate action, participating in disciplinary hearings
where necessary
- Support Managers with the performance review process, including
identifying and developing promotable talent
- Prepare HR management information to gain greater insight into the
trends and to support continuous improvement in the management and
monitoring of sickness absence, performance, retention etc
- Pro-actively provide appropriate recommendations to Line Managers to
address identified issues
- Provide advice, support, coaching and feedback to Managers on talent
management activities including performance management, training and
development, organisational capability assessment, organisational change
programmes, strategy and planning
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven generalist HR experience, ideally from within a manufacturing
environment
- Understanding and practical application of UK Employment legislative
framework
- Evidence strong experience in HR processes and procedures, e.g.
performance management, restructuring, redundancy, talent selection,
leavers, absence management etc
- Ability to work on own initiative to deliver projects and implement
new initiatives
- Proven ability to navigate and manage employee relations issues
- Ability to identify development needs and suggest appropriate
resources and solutions
- Experience of working effectively in teams and with centre of
excellence
- CIPD Level 5 Qualified or equivalent experience
