Passionate about Employee Relations? Looking for a role where you can make an impact from day one?

We're partnering with a fantastic organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their friendly, collaborative HR team during a particularly busy period.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established team, supporting managers across a wide range of employee relations matters while playing an important role in delivering a responsive and effective HR service.

Offered on an initial six-month fixed-term contract, there is strong potential for this opportunity to be extended for a further six months.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and supportive Employee Relations team, where you'll work closely with managers to provide practical advice and guidance across a variety of employee relations matters. You'll play an important role in managing cases effectively and ensuring managers receive a professional, responsive HR service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance to managers across a range of employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and suspension cases.
  • Managing a varied caseload, ensuring cases are progressed effectively and records are accurately maintained.
  • Supporting managers through formal processes, including preparing meeting documentation, arranging meetings and capturing key information where required.
  • Liaising with Occupational Health providers and supporting the management of related reports.
  • Assisting with Employment Tribunal administration, including preparing and uploading documentation when required.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR function to deliver a consistent and high-quality advisory service.

About You

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for supporting managers through employee relations challenges.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an Employee Relations Advisor, HR Advisor or similar HR advisory role.
  • Experience managing a busy caseload, including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Confidence providing advice and guidance to managers, particularly over the telephone.
  • Experience working within a high-volume HR advisory, shared services or employee relations environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and approachable style.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary of £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend to 12 months.
  • ASAP start available.
  • The opportunity to join a supportive and experienced HR team.
  • A varied role where you can make an immediate contribution.

If you're an experienced Employee Relations specialist looking for a new opportunity where you can add value quickly and work alongside a great team, we'd love to hear from you.

For many HR professionals, we’ll need no introduction. We are one of the longest-established specialist HR recruitment consultancies in the UK, with expertise in every sector, including financial services, technology and communications, retail, and professional and business services. At Macmillan Davies we take our responsibilities seriously, as we’re guardians of both our clients’ brands and our candidates’ careers. But we also make sure this professionalism is balanced with a personal approach. How we deliver is just as important to us as what we provide – and the reason so many of our clients and candidates return for our advice again and again.

Supporting your HR career every step of the way
We’re a long-term career partner to many of our candidates, supporting them as they progress from HR Assistant jobs to HR Director levels. All of which is made possible by our specialist practices.
